Educational Experience
Nicole Grassi graduated from the University of Miami in December of 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Business Management and Organization and Legal Studies. Before graduation, Ms. Grassi traveled to New Zealand as a Student Ambassador.

Ms. Grassi is currently studying at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center. In May of 2011, Ms. Grassi will be a candidate to graduate with her Juris Doctorate. Ms. Grassi is also an active member of Florida’s Association of Women Lawyers (Nova’s Chapter) and serves as the Chairperson of the Fundraising Committee.

Professional Experience
Before joining Brown, Van Horn P.A., Ms. Grassi served as a legal intern in the public sector. She looks forward to continuously contributing her strong desire to help others and her leadership qualities in order to advance our clients’ goals.


Adam Ludwin

Educational Experience
Mr. Ludwin received his Bachelors of Science in Finance, with a minor in Business Law from the Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Ludwin then went on to attend Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where he received his Juris Doctorate this past May.

Professional Experience
Mr. Ludwin has shown superior skills in researching and interpreting case law so as to help provide our clients with all their potential legal rights. His past work experience includes a judicial clerkship, in which he wrote many memorandums advising the court on what the outcome of certain cases should be. He has also gained experience in trial preparation from beginning to end, as well as trial strategy.


Jacqueline Gardiner

Educational Experience
Ms. Gardiner received her Bachelors Degree in Economics and Social Science Interdisciplinary from Florida State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Gardiner then went on to attend Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where she received her Juris Doctorate this past May.

Professional Experience
Ms. Gardiner has valuable skills in trial preparation from drafting motions and necessary court documents to properly organizing every aspect of trial preparation, including working directly with clients. While in law school, Ms. Gardiner has gained much knowledge in the areas of Wills, Trusts, & Estate Planning. Currently, at Brown, Van Horn, Ms. Gardiner has assisted on many different cases and has proven herself to be able to successfully tackle them all. Her legal research skills enable her to truly be an asset, and truly help our clients no matter what issue they may have when they come to see us.


Olivia Retenauer

Educational Experience
Ms. Retenauer received her Bachelor of the Arts with High Distinction in Political Science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI as a third-year graduate and all semesters on Honor Roll. She also was an Angell Scholar, earning a 4.0 for four consecutive semesters. She is currently studying law at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL and has made the Dean's List and received the CALI.org award for her achievement in Civil Procedure. Ms. Retenauer plans to graduate with her Juris Doctorate in May 2012.

Professional Experience
Ms. Retenauer began her legal career doing public interest defense work in the summer of 2006. She continued pursuing her interest in legal studies in the summer of 2008 working at a corporate defense firm in Pittsburgh, PA. She then began a full year internship with liquor licensing, criminal defense, and civil litigation firm also located in Pittsburgh, PA. Ms. Retenauer is currently working in the area of Bankruptcy Law at Brown Van Horn, P.A. and exhibiting her ever-improving research and writing skills by drafting motions, responses, and a variety of letters.


Jordan Donaldson

Educational Experience
Jordan Donaldson graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate, where he attended all four years on a full academic scholarship and received Dean's List recognition. In 2008, he received the professor-nominated Graduate of the Year Award for overall performance in the FSU College of Business’ highly-ranked Real Estate Program.

Mr. Donaldson is currently studying at Florida State University’s College of Law, where he again received Dean's List recognition. Mr. Donaldson ranked in the top 7% and 10% of his torts and civil procedure classes, respectively, and his upper-level studies focus on all aspects of business and intellectual property law. In May of 2011, Mr. Donaldson will be a candidate to graduate with his Juris Doctorate.

Professional Experience
Before joining Brown, Van Horn P.A., Mr. Donaldson clerked for a law firm in Apopka, FL where he worked primarily on issues involving secured transactions. He is currently working in the areas of bankruptcy and foreclosure law at Brown Van Horn, P.A., where he performs legal research, drafts motions and responses, and corresponds with clients.
